The Following are the thoughts and experience of people of varying aspect of life; banned under Mr.John(B.sc) in order to share their CSEC mathematical journey, and respective story.
Meet Mr.Kishon Hariss his remarkable resilience is simply undeniable
This year has been a challenging one for me; from wanting to give up (dropping out of math class), many sleepless nights and even some nights where I felt so overwhelmed with work that class was the least of my concerns. There were nights when I would just sit and rethink every aspect of my life, asking myself, "Is it really worth it? Or "do I really need to do this?" There were nights where I had to dig deep within to find the strength to push through.
Studying is surely not a walk in the park, and I owe everything to the good Lord above; without him, nothing would've been possible. I probably would have dropped out of class because life was overwhelming me.
However, I was determined to get what I wanted because I knew exactly what was on the line, and what needed to be done for me to get one step closer to where I wanted to be. I'm so thankful that I was able to ace my exam, bringing me closer to yet another achievement. A big thank you to Mr. John once again; his determination and words of encouragement surely helped. He's indeed a great teacher, and I wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavours and to his future students.
A big thank you to the Bredge team, and John's Online Education it's truly a place of second chances, because I was surely offered mine. #Thankful
Meet Ms.Samantha George, a mother of two, and a woman of staggering focus.
My name is Samantha George, and I am a mother of two. The Journey was not easy having to joggle work, and kids-especially at infant stage-. I had to put everything on a standstill to balance my already hectic life, then I heard about Bredge The home of second chances I contacted them.
I enrolled to do two Csec subjects one of which is mathematics and trust me that was something I said I would never do in my lifetime again. Guess the joke was on me, I was place in Mr John’s maths class still having doubts about the subjects. He opened my mind to believe in myself, and encourage me to focus on the goal, the methods he thought helped me to embrace the subject.
All in all, it still was not an easy couple of months, getting home late from work, taking care of my children, and getting them prepared for school the next day and then settling for class whilst having medical issues. it was indeed hard at times especially when I had to choose between classes or my mental and physical health.
I am so happy that I kept pushing despite all the challenges. Mr John’s encouragements help me daily it brought back the spirit for classes and the spirit to strive for more. I highly recommend John’s Online Education.
Meet Ms.Carlene Hilliare, A loyal servant of the lord whom embodies the concept of consistency beats talent.
My name is Carlene Hillaire - I had a great disdain for Mathematics since in Secondary School since it was seen as a hard subject with all these formulas and stuff but nevertheless, I still did it for CXC in Form 5 and failed but that didn't bother me. As I enter the world of work, Mathematics is one of the subjects required for the career which I want to pursue. So that where my education journey started back.
It was not easy for me because I was employed full time, plus I had failed Mathematics twice. After failing Mathematics twice, I was upset and didn't want to go back and do over Mathematics again. I was angry with myself, but with the help and support of my family and colleagues I decided to give it another try.
Last year October I was enrolled in Mr. Akel John Online Mathematics Class, Mr.John has really helped me along this journey his dedication, patience and encouragement really boosted my confidence, he took the time off to have one and one sessions, even on Sundays he would have make up class sessions and these sessions really helped me because on some week days when I missed class, I will pick up where I left off on Sundays.
There were days I felt like giving up, but I just keep going and pushing myself and with all the hard work, late night class sessions and other sacrifices I made, it was worth it because today I have obtained a pass in Mathematics.
I can remember at the beginning of the year I was talking to God, and I made a declaration saying this 2023 is my year and my season I will be successful in everything I plan to do. I thank God for seeing me through this journey.
My encouragement to persons is do not give up on your dreams and it is never too late to start back your educational journey. It is ok to take breaks but do not give up! whatever you set your mind to do you can do it with the help of God, and a good support system you will be successful. Thank you, Mr. John God’s continue blessings, in your future endeavours ❤
